Born in Pasadena, California, through the years, I have lived in Arizona, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida, and visited every part of the country except for the extreme Northeast. My husband and I have lived in country in North Carolina for the last twenty-two years.
We have six chickens, five dogs, three grown children, and thirteen grandchildren. For the last four years, I have divided my time between my freelance writing career, book writing, gardening, and visiting family in Texas and Kansas.
Our place in the country.
I have always loved to learn in a variety of areas, which is probably why I have a dual undergraduate degree in English and Secondary Education with a double minor in Business and Humanities. In addition, I hold a Masters in Educational Administration.
As the daughter of a newspaper publisher, I learned early the value of using understandable language to convey information in a concise, interesting way.
My freelancing career began years ago writing articles for Christian publications and newspapers. Through the years, I have written press releases for virtually every enterprise in which have been involved, had a short story published, as well as a non-fiction book on photography.
Additionally, I assumed responsibility for public relations for Roxboro Christian Academy and served as yearbook advisor for both RCA and Abundant Life Christian Academy, taking pictures, and designing pages and advertising.
